The Book of Genesis presents God’s creation and gives it purpose.
The Church has had much to say on this, especially in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
In 1859, Darwin wrote The Origin of the Species, which he labeled “the theory of independent acts of creation.”
Though not immediately accepted, it gradually gained popularity in the scientific community. It also gained complexity and scope since that time.
This course is designed to look at the often controversial subject of how evolution and creation measure up to truth.
You will learn how to discern the Church’s teaching and provide a Catholic perspective and understanding of evolution.
